Those three words carry the power to change the trajectory of your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe you\u2019ve spent years doubting yourself, or you\u2019ve looked at others and thought, God can use them \u2026 but not me. Maybe your past mistakes feel like permanent stains, or your inner voice constantly says, You\u2019ll never be ready,<\/em> or, You\u2019ll never measure up.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n But what if God is saying to you, \u201cI\u2019ve chosen you on purpose, for a purpose\u201d? Let\u2019s be honest, we all have that inner critic. The one that keeps a record of every failure, every flaw, every shortcoming. That voice that says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sound familiar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The enemy\u2019s greatest strategy has always been deception<\/a>. He doesn\u2019t need to destroy your calling; he just needs to convince you that you\u2019re not worthy of walking in it. Because if he can trap you in self-doubt, you\u2019ll sit on the sidelines of your own purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the gospel speaks a better word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Romans 8:1<\/a> says, \u201cThere is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus\u201d (ESV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n That means the verdict has already been rendered. You\u2019re not guilty. You\u2019re not unworthy. You\u2019re not forgotten. You are forgiven. You are free. You are favored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And when you start believing that, truly believing it \u2026 everything changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You\u2019ve got to stop taking your cues from your past and start taking your cues from God\u2019s Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ephesians 2:10<\/a> declares, \u201cFor we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n That word \u201cworkmanship\u201d in Greek is poi\u0113ma<\/em>. It\u2019s where we get the word poem. You are God\u2019s poem. His masterpiece. His intentional creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you doubt yourself, you\u2019re doubting the One who made you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God didn\u2019t accidentally give you your personality, your background, your quirks, or your experiences. He designed you on purpose. He wired you uniquely for the assignment He\u2019s placed in your hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So maybe instead of asking, \u201cWhy me?\u201d you need to start declaring, \u201cWhy not me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n If God has called me, equipped me, and promised to be with me, what reason do I have to stay in the shadows?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of us are waiting for the perfect moment to obey. We tell ourselves, \u201cWhen life slows down \u2026 when I feel ready \u2026 when I have it all together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n But let me tell you, faith rarely feels ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you wait for the perfect conditions, you\u2019ll never move. Faith is not the absence of uncertainty, it\u2019s obedience in the middle of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Think about Peter in Matthew 14<\/a>. He didn\u2019t wait for the waves to calm before stepping out of the boat. The water was still rough. The wind was still howling. Yet Peter said, \u201cLord, if it\u2019s you, tell me to come\u201d (Matthew 14:28<\/a>, NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n And Jesus said one word: \u201cCome.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The miracle didn\u2019t happen until Peter moved<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s a miracle waiting on your motion. Some of us have been praying for God to move, and God\u2019s been saying, \u201cI already have. Now it\u2019s your turn.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may not feel ready, but obedience opens the door for God\u2019s power to show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let me remind you of something: every great man or woman of faith in Scripture had a past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If God can redeem them, He can redeem you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your past doesn\u2019t disqualify you, it qualifies you to speak to others who are still walking through theirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s someone who needs your story. Your pain, your regret, your breakthrough \u2014 it all has purpose. You\u2019ve been through what you\u2019ve been through so you can help others<\/a> find their way through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 Corinthians 1:4<\/a> says that God comforts us in all our troubles \u201cso that we can comfort others\u201d (NLT). Don\u2019t bury your story in shame bring it into the light so God can use it for His glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Moses stood before God at the burning bush and said, \u201cWho am I that I should go to Pharaoh?\u201d God didn\u2019t give him a r\u00e9sum\u00e9 or a pep talk. He simply said, \u201cI will be with you\u201d (Exodus 3:11-12<\/a>, NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n That\u2019s it. That\u2019s the whole answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The antidote to self-doubt is not self-confidence, it\u2019s God-confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you remember Who walks with you, fear starts to lose its grip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Joshua 1:9<\/a> says, \u201cHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go\u201d (NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n God\u2019s presence is the greatest promise you carry. Wherever He calls you, He goes with you. Whatever He asks you to do, He empowers you to accomplish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you feel unqualified, remember, His Spirit is your qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the biggest lies self-doubt whispers is, \u201cYou don\u2019t have anything special to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n But Scripture says otherwise. 1 Corinthians 12:7<\/a> tells us, \u201cTo each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good\u201d (NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n That means you have a gift. Not \u201cmaybe,\u201d not \u201csomeday,\u201d not \u201cif you\u2019re super spiritual.\u201d You have one. God didn\u2019t skip over you when He was handing out purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And your gift matters because people matter. The Church doesn\u2019t function fully when you sit on your gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At Community Bible Church, we say it often: You don\u2019t have to do everything, but you can do something. When you serve, love, give, and show up the Kingdom advances<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may never stand on a stage or hold a microphone, but you can pray with a hurting friend. You can serve coffee with a smile. You can encourage a weary heart. You can use your words to build up, not tear down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your \u201csomething\u201d might look small to you, but in God\u2019s hands, small things have eternal impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Comparison is one of the greatest thieves of calling. When you look at someone else\u2019s highlight reel and compare it to your behind-the-scenes, you will always come up short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But God didn\u2019t create you to be them. He created you to be you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Galatians 6:4<\/a> says, \u201cEach one must examine his own work, and then he will have\u00a0reason for<\/em>\u00a0boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another\u201d (NASB1995).<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you spend your life trying to be like someone else, you rob the world of who God designed you to be. So instead of saying, \u201cI could never do what they do,\u201d start saying, \u201cI can do what God has called me to do.\u201d Run your race. Stay in your lane. Fix your eyes on Jesus \u2014 not the crowd, not the comparison, not the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Even when you know the truth, doubt will still try to creep in. You\u2019ll have days when your emotions tell you the opposite of what Scripture declares. That\u2019s when you choose to walk by faith, not feelings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Faith doesn\u2019t deny the facts, it declares that God is greater than the facts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n David faced a giant with nothing but a slingshot. Gideon went to war with just 300 men. Esther risked her life to speak up for her people. Every one of them felt fear but they moved forward anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Courage isn\u2019t the absence of fear. It\u2019s trusting God in spite of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, the next time that voice says, \u201cYou can\u2019t,\u201d remind yourself, \u201cThrough Christ, I can\u201d (Philippians 4:13<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your calling is not a distant dream, it\u2019s a present invitation. The question is not whether God can use you; the question is whether you\u2019ll let Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you say \u201cyes\u201d to God \u2014 even a hesitant, trembling yes \u2014 you open the door for heaven to move through your life. You don\u2019t need to be perfect. You don\u2019t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Isaiah said, \u201cHere am I. Send me!\u201d (Isaiah 6:8<\/a>, NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n That\u2019s the posture that changes everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I don\u2019t know where this message finds you today. Maybe you\u2019re weary. Maybe you\u2019re questioning if your life really matters. Maybe you\u2019ve believed the lie that your best days are behind you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But I want you to know God sees you. He knows your name. He knows your pain. And He\u2019s not done writing your story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
