⁶ This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.^(A)

¹⁷ The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears^(A) them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.

¹² For troubles^(A) without number surround me;
    my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.^(B)
They are more than the hairs of my head,^(C)
    and my heart fails^(D) within me.

⁷ You have delivered me^(A) from all my troubles,
    and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.^(B)

³ The cords of death^(A) entangled me,
    the anguish of the grave came over me;
    I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
